Ingredients

Macaroni (Whole-wheat, dry)
2 cup elbow shaped / 210 grams
Olive oil (Salad or cooking)

Ground turkey (Poultry food products, raw)
1 lb / 454 grams
Garlic (Raw)
1 tbsp / 8.5 grams
Salt (Table)
1/2 tsp / 3 grams
Pepper (Spices, black)

Tomatoes (Red, ripe, canned, packed in tomato juice)
1 2/3 cup / 400 grams
Tomato paste (Canned, without salt added)
2 tbsp / 32 grams
Dijon mustard (Grey poupon)

Cheddar or colby cheese (Low fat)
2 cup, shredded / 226 grams
Pickles (Cucumber, sweet (includes bread and butter pickles))

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, and spray a 9″x13″ casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 2
In a large stock pot, cook pasta according to package directions, drain and set aside.
Step 3
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey and garlic and cook until browned. Add salt and pepper while cooking.
Step 4
Add in tomatoes, tomato paste, and mustard.
Step 5
Allow the mixture to cook and thicken until bubbly.
Step 6
Add the pasta to sauce and mix to cover evenly.
Step 7
Transfer mixture to casserole dish.
Step 8
Top with cheese and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Step 9
Remove from oven and top with chopped pickles before serving (optional).
