Whole wheat pasta (Dry)

Chicken breast (Broilers or fryers, meat only, raw)
2 breast, bone and skin removed / 472 grams
Bacon (Raw, cured pork)
4 strip / 48 grams
Onions (Raw)
1 medium (2-1/2″ dia) / 110 grams
Mushrooms (White, raw)
4 large / 92 grams
Garlic (Raw)
1 cloves, minced / 3 grams
Heavy whipping cream (Fluid)
2 cup, fluid (yields 2 cups whipped) / 476 grams
Sour cream (Reduced fat, cultured)

Instructions

Step 1
Prepare pasta as per package directions.. In a frying pan over medium-high heat add oil and diced chicken and fry until cooked through and no longer pink, about 7-10 minutes.
Step 2
Add chopped bacon, onion, mushrooms, and garlic and cook a further 3 minutes.
Step 3
Add cream and sour cream and simmer for 10 minutes. While stirring add whisked egg and grated cheese.
Step 4
Continue stirring until all cheese is melted through. Add cooked pasta and toss until mixed well.
