Ingredients

Leeks ((bulb and lower leaf-portion), raw)
1 leek / 89 grams
Butter (Unsalted)
1 tbsp / 14.2 grams
Egg (Whole, fresh eggs)
3 extra large / 168 grams
Heavy whipping cream (Fluid)
1/2 cup, fluid (yields 2 cups whipped) / 119 grams
Salt (Table)
1/4 tsp / 1.5 grams
Pepper (Spices, white)
1/4 tsp, ground / 0.60 grams
Swiss cheese (NAN)

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
Clean the leeks well to remove and debris.
Step 3
Slice thinly and sauté in butter over medium heat until tender, 5-10 minutes.
Step 4
Beat the eggs, cream, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
Step 5
Put about 3/4 of the cheese in a greased pie plate or quiche pan, evenly spread the leeks over the cheese.
Step 6
Pour in the egg mixture; top with the remaining cheese.
Step 7
Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown on top. Let stand a few minutes before slicing.
